During that same time of expansion, we started exports of frozen fish to China.
Finally and after several years of knowing the world market, we opened the Sourcing area which has helped us to further improve our international recognition, for the quality of service we provide in the different areas of the company.
Today we work and interact with countries around the world, marketing containers monthly to the USA, Chile, France, Spain, UK, Central America, the Arab Emirates, etc.
Scarpa is a family business founded 13 years ago by the MBA Ing. Johanna Salcedo Black and by the Lcda. Antonieta Black Maldonado. In its beginnings, the company acted as a sales agent for Ecuadorian canned products, among which canned tuna stood out. This activity and the others that were carried out in connection with it, helped the international recognition of our company, in particular, for the responsibility and quality of the work that we carried out.
After a few years, we expanded to export fresh fish and shellfish to the United States market, handling volumes of around 10,000 lb per week.
